Pedagogical Implications of the theory of meaningful learning
This article will show various pedagogical strategies.
to Ausubel, learning is synonymous with understanding and implies a view of learning based on students' internal processes and not only external responses. With the intention of promoting the assimilation of knowledge, the teacher will advance organizers encourage the establishment of appropriate relationships between prior knowledge and new. The organizers aim to facilitate meaningful receptive learning, which would be possible to consider the exhibition organized content, promotes a better understanding.
In short, the theory of meaningful learning is to emphasize the process of meaning making as central to teaching.
Conditions that must be met for meaningful learning to occur, it should be noted:
1. Logical significance: it refers to the internal structure of the content.
2. Psychological significance: it refers to non-arbitrary relations can be established between the background and the new. Is relative to individual learning and depends on their previous performances.
3. Motivation: There must be also a subjective disposition for student learning. There are three types of needs: power, affiliation and achievement. The intensity of each varies according to people and generates different motivational states should be taken into account.
As stated by Piaget, learning is conditioned by the level of cognitive development, but in turn, as noted by Vygotsky, learning is itself an engine of cognitive development. Moreover, many categorizations are based on school curriculums, consequently, it is difficult to separate cognitive development of school learning. But the point is that learning is a constructive process internally and in this regard should be viewed as a set of actions to promote this process. It is in this line, which we have investigated the pedagogical implications of the prior knowledge.
was called intuitive conceptions (misconceptions), the theories spontaneous phenomena that differ from scientific explanations. These concepts are usually very resistant to instruction (e incuse operate as true "obstacles", so that both forms of knowledge coexist in a sort of cognitive dualism .. This is partly due to misconceptions that may be useful in to everyday life. And on the other hand, are often not conducive from teaching a link between this intuitive knowledge and school knowledge (science).
From a constructivist approach, the strategy has been developed is to generate a conflict in students between their intuitive theory of scientific explanation in order to promote conceptual reorganization, which will not be simple nor immediate.

AULATICE Research (2009-2011)
is developed from collaboration agreements between firms SMART, EPSON and SM Editorial and Research Group "Teaching and Multimedia" (DIM-UAB) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona . In The study involved 30 teachers and about 1,000 students of 10 centers teachers located in different areas of the country and representative of the educational levels of primary and high school.
The purpose of research is twofold. On the one hand, experimentation of the possibilities teaching and innovative ICT resources in classrooms AULATICE, available interactive whiteboard, document reader and personal computers. Moreover, the identifying the best educational models sharing textbooks and digital content on-line in these classrooms.
Participating teachers will receive training 5 sessions (two plenary meetings and three workshops in their own center) on the best models of learning activities that can be performed with the use of these resources. Then AULATICE in their classrooms, teachers contextualize and students apply to these teaching and learning activities, and analyze the added value which leads off the traditional activities carried out without ICT resources.
During this first year of research (2009 - 2010), the use of interactive whiteboards has been very high , as most teacher has used more than 60% of their classes . By contrast, the use of laptops for students has been more limited , about 30% of weekly class time, as agreed in the training sessions. However, a third of teachers have not reached this level of use for late technological facilities.
TEACHING MODELS The most used, and with very good results, are those made with whiteboard and focus on the activity and control of the teacher: exhibitions lectures, exercises among all , public correction of exercises, commenting on class from viewing videos online newspapers, websites ... Moreover, some teachers have a blog where they put materials for their students. And it seems that they find useful and is good for the students.
has also been used extensively and with good results other models with PDI activity and focus on student initiative : public presentation of works by students, presentation of materials sought Internet, assuming the role of teacher to explain issues to their peers. Among the models that require use of laptops by students , the most used are: conducting self-corrective exercises or to correct later with the PDI.
As models sharing of ICT resources and textbooks, the smartest in class were: consult and engage in the DVD accompanying textbooks, summaries and synthesis of the book and exposing the PDI, and study the textbook content and then conduct activities proposed by the teacher in your PC with the PDI correction . And with digital content, the models used were: develop multimedia presentations documented through digital content and expose them to PD, PC studying certain digital content and teacher's exercise or self-assessment, and computerized batteries answer questions seeking answers in digital resources in the PD correction.
Although teachers highlight some DISADVANTAGES: required more time to prepare lessons, Internet connection problems , troubleshooting and maintenance of laptops ... The ADVANTAGES are many and important. The faculty unanimously manifested increase attention, motivation and participation students. And with these activities provides a renewal methodological innovation-oriented teaching.
majority also believes that classrooms AULATICE allow access to many resources and sharing between students and teachers, plus context activities and better address the diversity of students, providing more opportunities to investigate and develop imagination and creativity. Also almost all teachers appreciate being facilitates understanding of the content, collaborative activities, conducting Corrections collective, ongoing evaluation, and overall teaching, learning and achieving educational goals .
lesser extent, also see students improve their fluency in making presentations and argue and even here there are differing opinions, many teachers say also improves memory capacity of students and higher customer satisfaction , motivation and self-esteem of teachers. Instead, are not as clear that the time advantage over class or that enhances its reflection and critical thinking.
Virtually all teachers believe that students improve their LEARNING with the activities undertaken with the support of technological resources AULATICE, however only half also say they have improved their academic qualifications .
Nevertheless, widely consider that students have learned more and and unanimously expressed like to do the classroom instruction AULATICE . According to teachers there is a greater impact on student learning that go well in the subjects or at least likely to approve. In contrast, the positive impact that is also, it seems lower in the case of students with difficulties in adopting and unmotivated students .
teachers also pleasant to organize classroom activities AULATICE, and even states that results in a significant increase in work) considered worthwhile for the improvements in student learning obtained, which are largely competence. Besides the competition information processing and digital world that all teachers think that they should improve, also values \u200b\u200bthat may be favored the learning to learn skills, autonomy and personal initiative and linguistic communication.
Next academic, research will focus on greater realization of these potential benefits, they always depend on the teaching and learning activities carried out with the classroom resources AULATICE. We will continue defining the best models educational use of these technologies, with particular attention to the activities of sharing ICT tools, textbooks and digital content. And we will also identify some of the basic skills which acquisition by students is facilitated by these activities and some forms of assessment is not rote to allow better appreciation of the skills that students are acquiring.

Motivation for teaching-learning process.
A teacher interacts with their young by giving them the confidence to express their ideas, opinions and questions. It also maintains mutual respect, thus promoting the creation of an enabling environment to improve the teaching-learning process. At the same time, the teacher will have a good knowledge of program content and must be a keen observer and researcher.
teacher-student ratio and classroom
16-Jan-2010
Inside the classroom, the teacher put in place the resources and strategies needed to motivate students and generate in them a meaningful learning.
The teaching work is not easy It is necessary to plan, create innovative material and identify the needs of students.
educational model
The teacher travels, over the years, a role of dictator, proposed by traditional education model, a role of teacher-student interaction, given by a modern educational model .
This model suggests that the protagonist of education is guided by the experience (successes and failures) and thus learn and improve their method of teaching ; based on the characteristics of their students and the requirements of the environment in which it operates.
Similarly, the motivation will be an important factor to get the student to take part in the process, and of their own to participate and collaborate in their learning .
Therefore, the teacher's role is: to advise, guide, motivate and, above all, facilitate the acquisition of knowledge to their disciples. Are these, which have in charge to create, test and verify their background knowledge (based on knowledge provided by your instructor) and put them into practice since, as we mentioned the new educational method, students need to practice the theory gained in the classroom, in order to generalize and reaffirm this information in real life.
Teacher Qualifications
The teaching-learning process be refined over time and to be useful, must have a creative design and trainer. Therefore, it requires that professional education is prepared in the content they teach their students. The domain of each of the topics is essential and be strengthened by the interaction between the inhabitants of the classroom.
For success in their work, the teacher requires a set of communication skills (language, facial expressions, gestures, etc.) to facilitate the exchange of information on the medium and the flow of knowledge among students (creating a mutual learning).
Classes
Within a classroom, the teacher will put his experience into practice and get the attention of their students. Laying down the goals to be achieved during subsequent sessions in each of the topics to be discussed, and specifying the activities to be performed.
support of teaching materials is essential. Today it is intended, not only the use of images and videos, but also implement dynamic that will spark student interest and facilitate their meaningful learning (mostly games).
News
server is intended to organize and plan education classes daily. Included in this planning, the use of materials, resources and teaching equipment and techniques and strategies that motivate the young and thus achieving the objective of the new educational model: that the student build their knowledge (autonomous education.)
Thus, graduates of basic education skills and develop their skills by themselves based on the support that your instructor gives. In the past, claimed that the students memorize concepts, today, however, it is important to be able to use those concepts in everyday life situations (meaningful learning).
